Bringing together teens from eight cities up the Californian coast, the first CTeen Regional Shabbaton took place last Shabbos in sunny S. Diego, CA. The teens enjoyed a spirited Shabbos, complimented with trips to La Jolla Cove, scenic Torrey Pines, the newly opened Sky Zone and Belmont Park.

Jewish Singles Spend Shabbos in the Amazon
The state of Amazon in Brazil increased its Jewish population by a fifth for three days this past Shabbos, when it hosted a Jewish singles shabbaton in a hotel in the Amazon rainforest. The event was organized by Chabad of Manaus, Amazon’s largest city, and attracted people from across Brazil and other South American countries (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay), who flew in for the amazing event. It even drew attention from singles in Miami, New York, and Israel. One person even flew in from Trinidad and Tobago.

The Shluchim gathered this morning at the Rebbe’s Ohel in Queens to deliver a ‘Pan Kloli’ – a general letter from all the Shluchim, which was read aloud by Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky. Each Shliach placed a personal letter at the Rebbe’s resting place as well.
