Thieves Steal Tires Off Another Parked Car

For the second time in as many months, a Jewish owned car had its wheels stolen right off it last night by shifty thieves. The vehicle was parked on Albany Ave. between Union and President St. Of course, traffic cops will still ticket the vehicle for being on the wrong side for street cleaning.

Charges Dropped Against Accused Child Abuser

Multiple charges against a former Chabad-Lubavitch youth leader in Melbourne were dropped. Aron “Ezzy” Kestecher, 27, was charged last year with four counts of indecent acts on a child under 16. All four charges were withdrawn Tuesday, a spokeswoman for the Department of Justice confirmed.

Shliach Pulled Over, Mistaken for Fleeing Robbers

A robbery in Greenwich, Connecticut prompted a large and rapid response from local police. Rabbi Yossi Deren was driving in the area shortly after the incident in a car similar to the one driven by the suspects, when he was pulled over by police officers.

Lightning Damaged a Second Crown Heights Building

A second Crown Heights building, located on the corner of Brooklyn Ave. and Sterling St., was hit by lightning this morning, causing bricks from the buildings roof. Fortunately, the building’s lightning rods intercepted the strike and conducted it safely into the ground, preventing another devastating fire.
