Members of anash gathered all over the world to study the laws of building the Beis Hamikdosh, following the Rebbe’s directive to do so during the nine days. We present a collection of photos of two such gatherings: at the home of Rabbi Shimon Raichik in Los Angeles, California; and at the central Lubavitch Shul in Montreal, Canada.

With great sadness we inform you of the untimely passing of Yosef Yitzchak Tarlow, of Morristown, NJ, at the young age of 28. Yossi succumbed to a terminal illness which he bravely battled and succumbed to on Friday night, the eve of the 9th of Av.

With our awareness of golus ever heightened during the Three Weeks, two organizations are working to bring light to this dark time with a new emphasis on an often-overlooked mivtza. Following the Rebbe’s directives to have weekly mesibas Shabbos gatherings, Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch’s Suite 302 and Tzivos Hashem launched CKids Shabbos and yom tov programming earlier this week.
In a tremendous act of Kiddush Hashem, several Shomrim volunteers prepared temporary living quarters for the residents of 556 New York Ave., who had to evacuate their apartments after the building caught fire yesterday. The volunteers remained at the relief center, which was set up inside a local public school, to assist the evacuees and distribute amenities for their comfort.

The last week of Camp Gan Israel in Lyon, France was a time to remember for the many children attending. They enjoyed color war, bowling, a bonfire, excursions and most of all – learning more about their Jewish heritage.
