Rebbetzin Devorah Krinsky, wife of 55 years of יבלח”ט Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky—secretary to the Lubavitcher Rebbe—passed away on Friday night after a brief illness. Surrounded by her husband and children, and after the Friday night Kiddush was recited at her bedside, she peacefully returned her soul to her Maker. She was 74.

During the past summer, Schneur Chaim Yitzchak Alexander ben Nechama Dina, suffered a terrible, life threatening illness in his leg. With hope and prayer in our hearts, we appealed to you all, to help us arouse Hashem’s mercy and bring a speedy recovery to Alexander.
Torah relates that the Egyptian exile involved hard labor of “chomer u’leveinim” — mortar and brick. Whatever spiritual refinement G-d intended for the Jewish people through that exile could only be acquired through mortar and brick — otherwise, G-d would never have put them through it.
