Winter Blast Barreling Toward Northeast
Get ready for some wacky winter weather. A powerful nor’easter is going to dump a stinging mix of sleet and rain on the city early Friday that will gradually turn to snow, with up to eight inches expected overnight, the National Weather Service said Wednesday.

The Oholei Torah Mesivta enjoyed their annual Shabbaton in many places in Upstate NY. On Friday they had a tour of the State Capitol, and met with Rabbi Mendel Mathless, Shliach in Albany NY. Shabbos was spent in Saratoga Springs with guests from Crown Heights, which included Rabbi Mendel Reizes, Rabbi Sholom Dovid Pape and Rabbi Mendel Nemes.

Is it going to far? The Jerusalem Fire Department released a photo of baby trapped in room by drawer blocking door; the Hamodia daily ‘edited out’ a pair of woman’s shoes from picture due to ‘modesty concerns’.

Some teacher aides who are paid by the New York City Department of Education say their paychecks have been frozen for months. UPDATE: Despite the city saying that they will be paid within a week back on January 18th, Crown Heights based providers STILL have not been paid.
