Alternate Side Parking Suspended through Wednesday
Alternate Side Parking rules will be suspended on Monday, February 11, to facilitate snow removal and on Tuesday for observance of Lincoln’s Birthday and Wednesday for holiday observance. Payment at parking meters will be in effect throughout the city on these days.

In an opinion piece published on the Jewish Presses website, an author laments Chabads massive organizational prowess and success in ‘Kiruv’. The article is titled “Achdus with Chabad” which decries how Chabad is “not really integrated with the rest of Orthodoxy,” and how we are “obsession to one degree or another with their Rebbe as Moshiach.”

Spring, 1978. Two Talmudic students travel to Iran to meet with the leaders of the Jewish community there. Today, the 30th of Shvat, marks 7 years to the cold blooded murder of Efraim Klein HYD, a resident of Crown Heights who had been a staple in the community and a figure known and liked by all, who was shot and killed. The investigation into his murder has long since gone cold.

WSJ Featuers Front-Page Story on Kiddush Clubs
The Wall Street Journal featured a front-page story, titled “After These Jewish Prayer Services, Things Come ‘To Life’ at Open Bar” on Kiddush Clubs. Florida’s Rabbi Sholom Lipskar explained how in ‘the Shul’s’ Kiddushim l’chaim is said in small cups and it is not a drink-fest.

Winter storm Nemo dumped over a foot of snow in Crown Heights, not nearly as bad as Long Island and other nearby states – which got upwards of 2 feet. As Shabbos ended residents began digging out.
