MISSED: Much Hyped Blizzard Misses NYC

Steady snowfall has been covering New York City since Monday morning and by Tuesday total accumulated snowfall reach just 6 inches – far below the predicted 24 to 36 inches. Snow is expected to continue falling throughout the day and total accumulations can reach 12 inches.

Gov. Declares State of Emergency; Mulls Travel Ban

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, warning that conditions during the snowstorm will be “dangerous and difficult,” declared a state of emergency today for New York City and suburban areas to the north and east.

Update: New York City streets to be off-limits to non-emergency traffic beginning at 11:00pm tonight.

Update: As of 7:30am Tuesday all travel bans have been lifted across New York State.
