Yehuda Avner, a senior advisor and speechwriter to five Israeli prime ministers and an articulate chronicler of the Jewish state’s history, passed away today in Jerusalem. He was 86 years old.

‘Stolen Car’ Involved in Crash, Driver Flees
A number of people are lucky to be alive after a collision between an SUV and a sedan occurred in a busy Empire Boulevard intersection. The sedan lost control and slammed into a building – just missing a number of pedestrians that were waiting in a bus stop. The driver of the sedan fled the scene.

When I saw the sign “EVERY AGUNAH IS MY SISTER”, in caps, with a solid bright red background, I felt something was wrong. Despite the loving words, the sign was not one of Ahavas Yisroel. Beis Rivka Conducts Fire Drill in Under 3 Minutes
Following a fire last week in their high school, Beis Rivka conducted a fire drill in their larger Lefferts Avenue elementary school. 1,400 students ranging in age from 2-years-old to 14-years-old quickly filed out of the building once the alarms sounded. It took staff and students under 3 minutes to successfully evacuate the entire building.
