Skverer Rebbe Visits Vizhnitzer in Crown Heights
The Skverer Rebbe, Rabbi Dovid Twersky, traveled from his home in New Square to Crown Heights to pay a visit to his brother-in-law, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager of Vizhnitz, who is being hosted in our neighborhood during a weeks-long visit to the United States.

A Jewish man was assaulted early this morning while on his way to synagogue. The assailant slapped a cell phone out of the victims’ hands, then punched him in the face while yelling “I am tired of Jews.”

Orthodox Jew Stabbed in Crown Heights
At around 8:30 Tuesday evening, a 34-year-old Orthodox Jewish man – who happens to be a volunteer for Hatzalah – was stabbed in the back by an assailant who snuck up on him from behind. The incident occurred on Eastern Parkway between Nostrand and Rogers Avenues in Crown Heights.

‘The Chozer’ Farbrengs for Chof Cheshvan
Following the Farbrengen in 770 last night marking the Rebbe Rashab’s birthday, the students of the central Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim – which the Rebbe Rashab founded – returned to the dormitory building at 1414 President St. for a second Farbrengen with the Rebbe’s ‘Chozer’ Reb Yoel Kahn, which lasted until the early hours of the morning.

Regional Shabbaton Connects South Atlantic Young Shluchim
Twelve-year-old Mendel Refson attends the local Jewish day school in his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina. While his classmates busy themselves with soccer practice and karate lessons after school, Mendel helps his parents prepare for large-scale Shabbos meals and studies for his bar mitzva. A proud shliach in Charleston, the nearest Lubavitcher boys his age live two-and-a-half hours away in Myrtle Beach. Last Shabbos, though, any vestiges of loneliness quickly faded as he connected with twenty yaldei hashluchim at a regional shabbaton six-and-a-half-hours’ drive from his home in Greensboro, North Carolina.
