ULY Marks the Birthday of Its Founder

In the United Lubavitcher Yeshiva, a day like Chof Cheshvan takes on special meaning. Being the birthday of the founder of Tomchei Temimim, the students used this day to gather together and be inspired to recommit themselves to live up to the high standard the Rebbe Rashab expects from his hand-picked Temimim.

From preschool to 8th grade, each grade celebrated this special day on their level.

While the preschool held a birthday party with the picture of the Rebbe Rashab placed on a chair, the older grades gathered for a rally, at which they learned about the Rebbe Rashab and how special it is to be a Tomim in his Yeshiva. The 8th graders had their own Farbrengen with Rabbi Simpson and their Rebbis.

On the night of Chof Cheshvan, the 7th grade had a Farbrengen with their Mashpia, R’ Moishy Goldstein. They were inspired by stories of the Rebbe Rashab pertaining to Avodas Hashem, and each took upon himself a Hachloto in their Avodas Hatefillah.

Every class in the Yeshiva chose a Hachloto which they will strengthen themselves in, and proudly wrote their Hachlotos along with their names to the Rebbe.

The Talmidim in grades 7 and 8 learn the Kunteres Hatefilla from the Rebbe Rashab every morning before Shachris with Rabbi Simpson. On this occasion, Rabbi Simpson distributed the Kuntres Hatefilla to the boys who consistently exemplified the Davening of a Tomim.
