Debut CTeen Trip to Poland and Israel
Heritage Quest, CTeen’s groundbreaking summer trip through Poland and Israel, recently concluded its first annual trip, offering a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Jewish teens from around the world to explore the roots of their Jewish heritage at the source. Teens traveled in time, through the tragic history of Poland, leading all the way to visiting and learning about Jewish life in Israel. The effect of Heritage Quest is one that will go down in history.

Alternate Side Rules Suspended Monday-Wednesday
Alternate side parking (street cleaning) regulations will be suspended Monday through Wednesday, September 12-14, for a Muslim holiday. All other regulations, including parking meters, remain in effect.

ULY Students Experience Halacha Hands On
At Lubavitcher Yeshiva of Crown Heights, the students not only learn halochos and Minhagim, they live it! As part of the Minhagim for Chodesh Elul, expert sofer Rabbi Levi Ladaev came down to the Yeshiva to check the Mezuzos of the 7th grade classes and to demonstrate to the talmidim what it takes to check a mezuzah.

First-Time Florida Bike-a-Thon Champions Seniors
Lawrence Rekblatt, 22, is getting ready to ride in a bike-a-thon to honor senior citizens. Organized through Chabad’s United Jewish Generations program in North Miami Beach, Fla., the ride will bring different generations together on Grandparents Day, which is celebrated annually on the first Sunday after Labor Day. This year it falls on Sept. 11, marking the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and U.S. Pentagon.

With sadness we inform you of the passing of Mrs. Rachel Zippel, OBM, of Milan, Italy, a holocaust survivor and matriarch of a large family that includes many Chabad Chassidim and Shluchim all over the world. She was 90 years old.
