The Hungarian government announced last week that the ownership and management of the new Holocaust museum, scheduled to open in Budapest next year, will be transferred to EMIH – Hungarian Jewish Federation in Hungary, affiliated with Chabad.

Two well-known philanthropists have once again stepped up to the plate to make sure that residents of Crown Heights can observe the ancient tradition of kapparos. The subsidized chickens will only be available on Sunday starting at 12:00pm until 7:00pm – or while supplies last.

A Lubavitcher U.S. Army Chaplain is being commended for his actions that led to saving the life of a distraught army veteran. Captain Michael Harari, who was off duty, observed the man about to do himself harm and jumped into action, speaking to the man and convincing him to come back.

Cuomo Defeats Nixon, Myrie Defeats Hamilton in NY Dem. Primary

With close to 90 percent of election districts reporting, unofficial election results show the race in the New York Primary Gov. Andrew Cuomo staving off a challenge from political upstart Cynthia Nixon. In the race for Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul defeated Jumaane Williams. In Crown Heights political newcomer Zellnor Myrie defeated the incumbent Jesse Hamilton.
