Despite the very cold weather, today, in honor of Tu Bshvat, Chief Rabbi and Head Shliach of Kiev, Rabbi Yonathan Markovitch, joined in planting more than 30 Apple trees were planted in the main park of Kiev (Mariinsky Park), next to the Ukrainian parliament.

A New York judge granted a temporary restraining order Monday afternoon, halting a Department of State guidance barring tenant-paid rental commissions from going into effect. The guidance, circulated Feb. 4, would have blocked tenants from paying rental commissions in cases where the landlord hired an agent to market the listing.

The Chabad community of Kiryat Gat celebrated the arrival of a new Sefer Torah this past Wednesday, Yud Shvat 5780. The torah was completed in celebration of the twenty two years of chabad activities in the Kiryat Gat community.
