Kiryat Gat Welcomes New Sefer Torah

The Chabad community of Kiryat Gat celebrated the arrival of a new Sefer Torah this past Wednesday, Yud Shvat 5780.

The torah was completed in celebration of the twenty two years of chabad activities in the Kiryat Gat community.

The final letters of the Torah were written at the home of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Elharrar, and from there the procession continued into the streets of the city.

Then parade passed through the Russian-speaking neighborhoods, creating great kiddush hashem.

After hakafos, everyone sat down for a seudas mitzvah, with guests including Rabbi Moshe Havlin, Rabbi Meir Meiri, Rabbi Yehuda Elharar, Rabbi Yaakov Sengawi, as well as Rabbis of the Chasidic communities of Belzs, Kretchinff and others.
