I remember the Vizhnitzer Rebbe’s travels to Ukraine in the month of Av, 1994. Together with 700 of his Chassidim, he prayed at the gravesites of many Tzadikim buried in the region, when he arrived in Berdichev a few days before Tisha B’av.

On March 1st, 1994, a Lebanese terrorist named Rashid Baz opened fire on a van full of Lubavitcher Bochurim on the Brooklyn Bridge. In the attack Ari Halberstam HYD was killed. 18 years after the murder, which shocked the world, we present a collection of photos and news broadcasts which gave broad coverage to the incident.

Four years ago we reported about Aliza’s tragic drowning in their family swimming pool, and her parents fight to keep her on life support. Yesterday she succumbed to an infection.
