Lubavitchers Run Marathon.. in Hats and Jackets!
Rabbi Yosef and Mendel Eichenblatt, founders and directors of Abraham’s Tent, were spotted today With Zally Lazerous at the Jerusalem marathon running for the organization. Abraham’s Tent is an open home for all to experience Judaism and Israel in a fun and exciting way. The center will enable people from all walks of life to be inspired and connect to their Judaic roots and homeland.
They ran the 21 kilometer run while sporting hats and jackets. At the finish line, Zally Lazarus made a “kulla” for the cheering crowds and cameramen.
“People were really excited to see us and we got a lot of positive remarks. People would pass by cheering Chabad! Kol Hakavod! and at the end of the run we got lots of people to put on Tefillin,” Said Rabbi Yosef Eichenblatt.
The Lubavitch runners were wearing T-shirts promoting Abraham’s Tent, which will be opening it’s doors this summer in Jerusalem.
Abraham’s Tent is the bridge between the inspiration experienced in Israel and the continuation of it in ones life and community.
“Our patriarch Abraham opened his home to all and thereby introduced Hashem to the world. So too we are opening our doors to all and are creating a revolution for tomorrows leaders,” Said Rabbi Mendel Eichenblatt.
