Bochurim who will be serving as staff members in Tzeirei Hashluchim program for all the children of Shluchim whose fathers are attending the Kinus, gathered today to prepare and discuss the upcoming programs for the children.
With great excitement and much anticipation, community members of S. Agathe and many Montrealers gathered together on Friday evening, October 22nd to welcome the Seminary BMC girls to a new year of learning in our beautiful Laurentian mountains.
For the first time in the history of the Kinus, Shluchim gathered in the Eden Palace located in the heart of Williamsburg for a day of seminars and sessions on a wide variety of topics, all aimed at helping Shluchim on their Shlichus.
On the chilly Friday afternoon of October 24th, 1945, nine Lubavitch students arrived in Montreal, Canada, from Shanghai, China. The young men had moved to town in order to strengthen the Jewish community under the direction of the previous Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yossef Y. Schneerson.

Fifty girls from a wide spectrum of Jewish backgrounds were departing from camp inspired and recharged, each returning to her own community. What could she do to continue the inspiration for these girls throughout the year? How could the innovative methods used at the retreat reach girls in many more communities?
Newly elected Governor Dan Malloy was only certified by the Connecticut Secretary of State late this afternoon due to unforeseen voting problems in certain districts of the State. One thing is certain; Governor Malloy’s strong friendship with Israel, the Jewish People and Chabad.
In a procession, they where lead one by one from the hotel lobby of the Sheraton Parsippany hotel in Parsippany, NJ. Surrounded by family, friends and supporters of Chabad they merged onto the grand plaza where eleven wedding canopies awaited them. In the background one could hear the traditional moving and emotional nigguin of daled bavos being sung by all those present.
This week Rabbi Francis, Rosh yeshivas Shaare Temimim of the Catskills, took the Bochurim on two outings; Bowling Motzie Shabbos, and Iyun in the park. The trips were part of an advanced system that Rabbi Francis has developed which monitors the progress of the students in certain areas and rewards for good work.
Shluchim took time to Daven in the Rebbe’s Room and tour the Library.
Shluchim from around the world have been coming to Crown Heights since the beginning of the week for the annual Kinus Hashluchim, and last night sign in and registration began.
Thousands of people are expected to attend Chabad of the Valley’s “Chanukah at Universal CityWalk Hollywood” on Wednesday, December 1; from 5-9 pm. Organizers of the event say that it will be the largest Chanukah celebration of its kind in Southern California.
