Shomrim Apprehend Burglar & Return Missing Child over Shabbos

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Over Shabbos Shomrim radios crackled to life on two separate occasions over Shabbos, the first a call for a burglar inside of a Jewish building on Friday night, and the second from the Police Precinct after officers found a young Jewish special needs child wandering on Nostrand Avenue alone.

While men were still in Shul on Friday night a woman called the Shomrim hotline and stated that there was a Black male who broke into her building, 575 East New York Avenue, and was trying to get into apartments. Many Shomrim members responded and upon arrival all they found to be missing was one bicycle from the garage area.
