Sperlin Hosts Fundraiser for State Senator

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — The new Vaad Hakhol of Crown Heights hosted a fundraiser for State Senator John Sampson this past Thursday night. The State Senator has represented District 19 in the New York State Senate, which comprises Crown Heights, as well as some surrounding neighborhoods, since being elected in 1996. The fundraiser was held at the home of Chanina Sperlin.

    Why all the venom? These events are normal in the world of politics and necessary to cement relationships so that the community has friends in high places. If you hate the Vaad, you should have run yourself and even voted. You can have your chance next time. Don’t sit home and then be angry at those that ran and won.

    Taliban from Israel has a delegation of activists that get together to be proponents of all their mischief and thuggery. They are the ‘Vaad’ & co. They even manipulate some of the more naive ignorants to support them, such as baalei teshuva who don’t know the history and their subtle agendas.

    Thank God they weren’t at the meeting or they would present Anti Semitetti with a something or other to have a photo op with that thug. So, I for one commend them, for not destroying our demonstration of outrage at the precinct council meeting. Better let them fress some Sushi with politicians than interfere with the efforts of some community members who actually did something to make a difference. I was at the precinct council meeting and glad I didn’t encounter the vaad thugs but the regular folk in our community who didn’t come with agendas other than begging for security and justice.

    The loshon hara needs to stop. However there are major issues at hand. Why were they doing a fundraiser for a hack politician instead of standing up for our community. We get no representation in any area of delegation. My question is what has Sampson done for the Jews in his district? He like any good Progressive Democrat opposes school vouchers which would greatly help the our yeshivas. He is part of the political machine in Albany that is bankrupting out state. Causing our taxes to increase, including alcohol taxes which hurts Jewish winemakers, and put stress on hard up families for shabbos. This guy has done nothing. All this shows is how corrupt things are. They won the ruling on the elections fine, who cares if u voted what not, they represent the Crown Heights Jewish Community, the whole one. How about they press politicians for issues like school vouchers. How about they press politicians for things the REBBE pushed very much for like the MOMENT OF SILENCE (too bad Avroham Frank doesnt live in CH). How about the fact Yvette Clark who on the homeland security committee was silent on what happened in Riverdale, and no comments on the thugs threatening 770. It is time they need to lead us not just have fancy parties with corrupt politicians who all need to go anyways.

    Someone found this interesting article on a different website,that really sheds light on what happened here in Crown Heights, and how the “new Vaad” got “elected”.

    I object to CH info using the term “New Vaad”. You could call them perhaps the “contested new Vaad”, till after the hearing – . With the Mesira they are perpetrating against the Rabbonim, and the Vaad they are ousting by force, how is it that the community is silent? How can we tolerate the bizoyoin of a talmid chacham, three Rabbonim, and truly elected officials of the current Vaad (voted for in the previous election)?

    Why don’t we have the courage to protest, like they’re doing in Iran, despite the media blackout, reprisal beatings and imprisonments?

Look at other jewish communities, how much they accomplished using goverment funding.
