We are happy to present our viewers a very special and rare photo gallery of the Rebbe, taken on Yud Shvat 5750.

The Rebbe was on his way to the Ohel stopped for a few minutes and watched the Mitzvah Tanks, who were leaving on their way to Manhattan to do Mivtzoim. The Rebbe approached the curb and stood for a significant amount of time watching.

Poll: Best Deli Sandwich in Town?

Lubavitch of Iowa operates the “Maccabee Kosher Deli” which is the only Kosher restaurant in Des Moines, Iowa. A local newspaper, the Des Moines Register, is hosting a poll asking which deli in town makes the best deli sandwich, and included in its list of options is the Kosher deli.

Currently the Maccabee Kosher Deli’s “The Megillah” sandwich, which is composed of corned beef, roast beef and choice of toppings, including sauerkraut and schug, an Israeli red pepper spread, served on rye bread, commands just 2% of the vote.

Hundreds Attend the Levaya of Reb Mordechai Rivkin OBM

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] – Hundreds of men, woman and children took part in escorting Reb Mordechai Rivkin OBM this morning. The Levaya left from the Shomrei Hadas Chapel in Boro Park on its way to Crown Heights, where its first stop was in front of his house on Crown Street then on to Bais Rivkah on Crown Street where hundreds of students came out to escort him.

The Levaya then proceeded to 770 where members of Anash along with woman and more students took part in the Levaya as well.

750 Attend Friendship Circle Annual Banquet at NJPAC!

NEWARK, NJ [CHI] — One could immediately feel the energy and excitement of the more than 750 guests who packed the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark on Tuesday, March 25 for Friendship Circle’s Annual Banquet. The evening’s event, held in honor of Friendships Circle volunteers, included a lavish dinner buffet along with a moving presentation and several tributes.

Siyum and Hachnosas Sefer Torah in Memory of Harav Sholom Gordon

TARZANA, CA [CHI] — Hundreds of people gathered at Chabad of Encino in the SF Valley, California to complete and dedicate a new Sefer Torah donated in tribute to Rabbi Sholom B. Gordon, ob’m. The campaign was launched by Rabbi Yehoshua Binyomin Gordon, Shliach of the Rebbe in the Valley in conjunction with the upcoming 7th Yahrzeit of his father, on Achron Shel Pesach.
