Nelson Apprehended by Police!

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Crown Heights car owners worst nightmare, was apprehended earlier this evening. Terrance (Derrick) Nelson was spotted by a resident in his back yard on Empire Boulevard, between Kingston and Albany Ave], breaking into a car, he immediately called 911 and notified police of the incident.

Uniformed Officers and Anti Crime responded and began searching for Nelson, who they found in the back yard a few houses down, hiding underneath a car. Nelson was then taken into custody.

As a means of vanquishing his evil inclination, Reb Dovid of Lelov would frequently fast from Shabbos to Shabbos (throughout the daytime hours). During one such fast, while travelling, he found himself overcome by an incredible bout of thirst.

Chancing upon a spring of clear running water, only served to compound the situation. His thirst was now so strong that he could hardly resist. Just as he was about to succumb and partake of some refreshing water, he felt a new sense of resolve. In the end, he continued on his way not having yielded to his bodily demands.

This victory left him exhilarated and brimming with joy. It felt good to be able to exert so much self-control and resist his bodily dictates; powerful as they may have been. Yet his sense of delight was short-lived. He quickly became suspect of these flattering thoughts.

Shomrim Meet with Police

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — After the emotional and tense Precinct Council Meeting, Shomrim coordinators went across the street to the Precinct along with Inspector Frank Vega, Lt. John Cantwell, Sgt. Robert Troise and officers Vincent Martinos and Charlie Ryan for a meeting targeted at addressing the issue and neutralizing any animosity or ill feelings.

Emotions Run High, Again, At Precinct Council Meeting

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — With much anticipation and a rather small turnout, this month’s Precinct Council Meeting opened up promptly at 7:30pm, Mr. C. Karl Cohen, president of the Precinct Council opened with a prayer, followed by the finance report by the treasurer, Mr. Errol Robinson.

As the meeting progressed, the auditorium of the Intermediate School filled with a significant crowd of Jewish residents, all of whom took the time to attend, out of concern for the neighborhoods safety and security. Some residents told CrownHeights.info that their attendance at the meeting tonight was out of support for Shomrim, Crown Heights’s neighborhood volunteer patrol.
