Suspicious Package in Crown Heights Turns Up Paintball Gun
While on a call for a suspicious package, a bag found by an alert Shomrim volunteer in a Crown Heights alleyway turned up more than what was expected. The police were called, and a paintball gun was confiscated along with an assortment of tools.

A new journal on Chof Av has recently been published. The journal was authored by Shlomo Mordechai Hamburger, a lawyer and a board member of Chabad on Campus International, and published by the Jewish Enrichment Press (JEP).

Shocking Vandalism: Mezuzah Scroll Defaced with “Allah Ahbar”
In a shocking case of vandalism, a Willimasburg man found the words “Alah Ahbar” scrawled on mezuzah scroll of him home. The vandalism is believed to have been perpetrated by a construction worker that had recently done work at his home.

Armed Terrorist Shot After Infiltrating into Israel
IDF lookouts on Sunday morning identified an armed terrorist approaching the border fence in the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said. The terrorist fired at IDF soldiers along the border. The soldiers, who were on alert following the identification of the terrorist, opened fire at him.
