With sadness we inform you of the passing of Mrs. Necha Rubin, OBM, on Wednesday, the first day of Chol Hamoed Sukkos, at the age of 81. Mrs. Rubin was a long-time member of the Lubavitch community in Montreal, Canada.
The Levaya for Reb Moshe Teleshevsky, OBM, will begin at 9:30 Thursday morning, the second day of Chol Hamo’ed Sukkos, at the Shomrei Hadas Chapels in Boro Park, from where it will leave at 10:00. It will pass by 770 at 10:30am.
With great sadness and pain we bring you the shocking news of the sudden passing of Rabbi Aharon Peretz Stawky, Shliach in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Rabbi Stawsky was building a Sukkah on the balcony of his apartment, when he tragically fell to his death from the height of two stories.

Reb Yechezkel was a well known figure in the Charedi community in the holy city, serving as the Rosh Yeshiva of Tiferes Yaakov for many years. His brother, R’ Elimelech Zweibel, is the senior Mashpia in Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim of Morristown, NJ.

With sadness we inform you of the passing of Chacham R’ Yehudah Abitbol, OBM, who passed away earlier this week at his home in Casablanca, Morocco, and was brought to burial this morning at Har Hamenchos in Jerusalem.
With sadness we inform you of the passing of Reb Moishe Menachem Mendel Feiner, OBM, of Los Angeles, CA. He is survived by his children: Shmaryahu Feiner (Yerushalayim), Yisroel Feiner (Los Angeles), Tzivia Weintraub (Los Angeles) and Gittel Schwadron (Yerushalayim). He will be buried on Har Hamenuchos in Yerushalayim.
Rabbi Fishel Weingarten, who brought merit to many as a recognized lecturer among Chabad Chasidim, passed away Friday evening, following a two-year battle with a serious illness. Rabbi Weingarten was laid to rest Motzei Shabbos at the Har Hamenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem.
An aggressive and potentially dangerous panhandler has returned to Crown Heights’ streets after an extended hiatus, during which he was not sorely missed. Yosef (Lawrence) Hoffman has a history of violent behavior, including: assaulting a 21-year-old bochur, robbing and vandalizing stores on Kingston Ave., and being arrested and admitted to a psychiatric ward.
We are pleased to report that as of 4:30 this morning Yakov has been found and is doing fine. It turns out that he just wanted to take a break from a long summer of hard work, and impulsively decided to leave for a few days vacation. He will return to Crown Heights in the near future.
With great sadness we inform you of the passing of Mrs. Dorit Giro, OBM, a mother of seven and long-time resident of Crown Heights, at the age of 45. Mrs. Giro succumbed to a severe infection, and returned her soul to its maker last night. She is the sister of Itzik Benabo, owner of the Kol-Tuv and Empire Kosher supermarkets.
