With sadness we inform you of the passing of Rabbi Yosef Wineberg, devout chossid of the Frierdiker Rebbe and the Rabbe, at the age of 94. Reb Yossel, as he was affectionately known, was the author of Lessons in Tanya, a multivolume commentary on the fundamental work on Chabad philosophy written by the Alter Rebbe, which was personally edited by the Rebbe.
With sadness we inform you of the passing of Reb Zeev Volf Nisnevitch at the age of 99. Reb Zeev Volf, a longtime Crown Heights resident, merited to see three Rabbeim in his lifetime, and fought in the underground to bring Jewish education to children in communist Russia.

With great sadness and shock we inform you of the passing of Rabbi Yehoshua Shlomo Zirkind, OBM, of the Rebbe’s Shluchim to Eretz Yisroel, at the age of 58. His passing comes merely three months after the equally tragic and untimely passing of his brother, Reb Yitzchok, OBM.
With sadness we inform you of the passing of Avrohom Eliezer Halevi Hyams, OBM, of London, UK at the young age of 37. He passed away on Shabbos after a lengthy illness RL, and was accompanied to his eternal rest this morning in Stamford Hill.

Rabbi Greenberg was a professor of Speech and sociology in Touro College for several decades, and was much beloved by his many students. He merited personal attention from the Rebbe and other Gedolei Yisrael of the previous generation.

Margarita, CA), Mrs. Sheiny Vaisfiche (Crown Heights); his brother, Rabbi Yitzchak Nemanow (Brunoy, France); and sister, Mrs. Rochel Pewsner (Crown Heights).
A Siyum Mishnayos and Seudah marking the Shloshim of Reb Mendel Bartfield, OBM, will take place today, Thursday (4 Iyar, April 26) at Empire Shtiebel, 489 Empire Blvd. [between Brooklyn and New York Ave.] at 8:25 PM.
