DALLAS, TX — The flames from the menorah in the West Village illuminated Uptown on the second night of Chanukah last week. Hundreds of people, from children to senior citizens, ate latkes, sang songs and danced the night away.

Westchester Celebrates Chanukah with Chabad

Westchester County’s government officials were treated to a festive Chanukah celebration on the fifth day of Chanukah, as the seven Chabad Lubavitch Shluchim to Westchester County New York visited the headquarters of Westchester County government offices bringing the joy and inspiration of Chanukah in the spirit of Pirsumei Nissa to the highest levels of county government.

100’s Participate in the Largest Menorah Lighting in NJ

MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ [CHI] — Hundreds of local residents participated, despite frigid weather, in the lighting of NJ’s largest Menorah, first replica of the “National Menorah” in Washington, DC, this past Sunday, 5th night of the holiday. Participants included: Monroe Township Mayor Richard Pucci, Senator-elect Linda Greenstein, members of town council, Monroe High School marching band, Cantor Mordechai Schwartz, and the Budapest Jugglers. Hot latkes, doughnuts and sizzling drinks were served following the ceremony.

“L’chaim in A Limo”

The community of Chabad of Colorado Springs under the directorship of Rabbi Moshe and Zeldy Liberow took part on Motzei Shabbos to reach out to jews in the neighboring areas of southern colorado to spread the joy of chanukah by handing out menorahs, doughnuts and inviting locals to come inside the porche limosine topped with a beautiful menorah to say l’chaim and hear some warm words about Chanukah.

MONTREAL — The cleanup of soil contaminated by heating oil around the vandalized Young Israel of Chomedey Synagogue was completed last week, after six weeks of excavation, and the beleaguered congregation is now awaiting the final bill.
