Campers in the Crown Heights days camps enjoyed a fun day at a water ride fair on Crown Street. Massive water slides, sprinklers and a huge suds baths had children screaming with delight.

In honor of the special day of Chof Av, the Rebbe’s Father’s Yahrtzeit, Camp Machane Heights davened Mincha in the Rebbe’s House, and then heard a nice story about Reb Levik from Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, a secretary of the Rebbe.
It is a memory that is vivid in the minds of those who were zoche to be present: the Rebbe leads a farbrengen on Chof Av, the yahrtzeit of his father, Reb Levi Yitzchok. Joining the other chassidim are the campers and staff of Camp Gan Yisroel-NY.

Yesterday, the talmidim of Yeshiva Summer Program in Morristown, NJ, traveled on an interstate trip to Pennsylvania, where they had a great time kayaking on the Delaware river.
As the campers gathered on the soccer field of Camp Gan Yisroel-NY, you could see anticipation written on their faces. Spellbound, they watched each carefully orchestrated scene with interest.
Though it began on a somber note with the fast of Tisha B’av, the sixth week of Yeshiva Summer Program in Morristown, NJ was filled with excitement, learning, joy and fun.
On Sunday, the campers of Gan Yisroel-Montreal were visited by their families, relatives and friends, who enjoyed many fun activities together both on and off camp grounds.
In recent years, YSP has had the privilege of having an exclusive concert from the world-famous Benny Friedman. This year, was no different, and on Wednesday night, the Talmidim enjoyed some intense dancing, as Benny sang everyone’s favorite songs and Niggunim.
Carnival day came to Camp Gan Yisroel in Parksville, NY, but with an extra twist: each bunk competed to see who could make the best booth, with the winners earning special prizes.
Campers and staff at Gan Yisroel-Montreal welcomed singer Eli Marcus, who recently released his debut album Dovid Hamelech, for a rocking concert that lasted until the late hours of the night, accompanied by talented musician Fitche Benshimon.
The Nine Days have come to an end and “regular programming” has resumed in CGI-Parksville. That means swimming is back, and so are trips. Camp Gan Yisroel wasted no time in that respect, as an exciting trip took place on Monday.
Years ago, Rabbi Yisroel Gordon, YSP’s founder, was in Yechidus and the Rebbe instructed him to make sure to take photos of the programs and events he does, so people will remember. This instruction was passed on into YSP tradition, and each summer the Talmidim and staff gather on or near the baseball field for a group photo that can be displayed for years to come.

After Shabbos, with the onset of the fast of Tisha B’av, the campers and staff of Gan Yisroel-Montreal gathered in the Shul to recite Eicha and mourn the destruction of the Beis Hamikdosh.
After a very inspiring and lively Shabbos, the campers of CGI-Parksville headed to the shul for the reading of Eicha, which was preceded by a few words of wisdom about the meaning of Tisha B’Av from Rabbi A. Shemtov.
