The final week of camp was filled with excitement, learning, fun and inspiration at Yeshiva Summer Program in Morristown, NJ.
As camp comes to a end, we present to you some of the highlights of the summer all captured in the air – because fun is always in the air in Gan Yisroel.
As the summer draws to a close, bochurim attending the Yeshiva Summer Program in Morristown, NJ bid farewell at the grand banquet to their newly-found friends and dedicated counselors and teachers. The next morning they packed their luggage and boarded the buses which would take them back home.
A total of 42,608 lines of Torah – Mishnayos, Tanya, Siddur and Yediyos Kloliyos – were learned as part Camp Gan Israel of Florida’s annual Mishnayos Be’Al Peh program – surpassing achievements in 5 out of 6 categories.
In most camps, the day after Color War is a lazy day, with not much going on. But Camp Gan Yisroel-NY isn’t “most camps,” and the day after Color War was far from lazy. Early in the morning came the exciting announcement that the grand trip would be taking place that very day, and grand it was.
Bais Rivkah Day Camp ended off the summer with a bang! The last day of camp started off with a drum circle, where each girl got a chance to make music with her own drum. At lunch time, campers started waiting by the gate, excited to see their parents join them for a Grand Camp BBQ.
For some, this is the reason they come to camp; for everyone, it is a highlight: Color War in Camp Gan Yisroel-NY.
The 250 campers and several dozen staff-members of the older division of Camp Gan Yisroel in Kfar Chabad, Israel, posed for a group portrait near the village’s main Shul. The sign above them reads: “Camp is an anvil upon which Chassidim are formed.”
The boys’ division of Camp Gan Yisroel-West is in full swing in northern California. With campers having flown in from across the country, the camp is utilizing every bit of its beautiful new grounds.
Campers in the Crown Heights days camps enjoyed a fun day at a water ride fair on Crown Street. Massive water slides, sprinklers and a huge suds baths had children screaming with delight.

In honor of the special day of Chof Av, the Rebbe’s Father’s Yahrtzeit, Camp Machane Heights davened Mincha in the Rebbe’s House, and then heard a nice story about Reb Levik from Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, a secretary of the Rebbe.
It is a memory that is vivid in the minds of those who were zoche to be present: the Rebbe leads a farbrengen on Chof Av, the yahrtzeit of his father, Reb Levi Yitzchok. Joining the other chassidim are the campers and staff of Camp Gan Yisroel-NY.
Campers enjoyed a full day of hiking, boating and mini golf at Camp Gan Yisroel-Montreal.
Yesterday, the talmidim of Yeshiva Summer Program in Morristown, NJ, traveled on an interstate trip to Pennsylvania, where they had a great time kayaking on the Delaware river.
