CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A Bochur crossing Eastern Parkway and Albany Avenue was struck and knocked over by a car Thursday evening. The incident took place as the car turned onto Eastern Parkway and struck the Bochur in the crosswalk. The driver of the car stopped, got out and looked at the Bochur and without a word he got into his car and fled the scene.
Shocked and hurt the Bochur made his down Albany to Lubavitcher Yeshiva where he met others and told them what happened, they advised him to call Shomrim and see what they say.
QUEENS, NY — A wild accident left a trucker critically injured and five firefighters hurt Thursday when a U.S. Postal Service tractor-trailer smashed into a fire engine in Queens, police said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — An elderly member of Anash was struck by a car while crossing Eastern Parkway in the crosswalk. The incident took place at around 10:45am in the intersection of Kingston Avenue where lots of bystanders witnessed the accident saying that the car came speeding into the turn with squealing and tires and short stopping as he struck the victim, who is in his 80’s.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A violent collision between a police cruiser and Cadillac rocked Eastern Parkway early Friday morning. The incident took place at around 3:30am when police officers from the 77th Precinct responded to call for backup when they hydroplaned in front of 770 and were struck by an oncoming vehicle.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Two cars collided earlier today in the intersection of Brooklyn Avenue and Empire Boulevard. The incident took place at around 12:00pm where a Chevy Malibu was traveling down Brooklyn and collided with a Chevy Avalanche who was driving along Empire.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn — At least 14 people, including a bus driver, were injured this morning when two city buses collided in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn this morning.
Police say a B-44 bus was about to go through the intersection of Empire Boulevard and New York Avenue around 6:30 a.m. when it clipped another B-44 bus from behind. The first bus then veered across the intersection and knocked over a traffic light.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn — A woman was hit by a car as she was attempting to open the trunk of her stalled vehicle on a Crown Heights street, police said.
The 30-year-old victim’s 1999 Nissan stalled at the corner of Eastern Parkway and Brooklyn Avenue at 11 p.m. Friday, cops said.

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL [CHI] – A group of Seminary girls returning from the Publix grocery store after shopping for a winter camp they were arranging for the local community, when two of the girls were struck by a passing car, injuring one of them critically.

R. Zev and his wife Rochel Simons OBM were killed this morning in a horrific crash in Australia. This news leaves the community in Sydney in shock and great pain. The crash took place on the Hume Highway which travels from Sydney to Melbourne, at 11:45am.
The couple, in their late 40s and early 50s, where both killed when their car was involved in a head on collision with a semi-trailer, carrying 43,000 liters of gas in cylinders. The driver of the truck was also killed. Two other cars were involved in the collision but the vehicles occupants escaped with minor injuries.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — At approximately 8:00pm a speeding motorist caused a trail of wreckage and mayhem on Empire Blvd and New York Ave. The speeding motorist was driving a red Toyota and plowed through three cars before coming to a halt after being wedged under a van.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — At around 10:10pm on Thursday night a Jeep collided with a minivan in the intersection of Empire and Troy. Both drivers and a passenger sustained injuries and were transported to Kings County Hospital.
None of the victims involved were Jewish but Hatzalah treated and transported one of them, FDNY EMS treated and transported the rest.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A cold and rainy evening turned devastating when an elderly Jewish woman attempted to cross Empire Boulevard and was struck by oncoming traffic leaving her unconscious and fighting for her life.
The incident took place at around 7:00pm when the woman tried to cross from the corner of Balfour Pl. and made it halfway across when traffic began coming she tried to turn around and was clipped by a passing taxi sending her flying through the air and landing on her head, dealing her severe head trauma and knocking her unconscious.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] – At around 9:45 last night, Sunday two Bochurim were struck by an SUV on Troy Avenue between Empire and Montgomery. The driver stopped, called 911 and waited on scene for assistance.
People who witnessed the accident immediately alerted Hatzalah, who responded within moments and began treating the Bochurim, one of which sustained a possible broken leg. The Bochurim were transported for Kings County Hospital for more checkups and observation.
