Red carpet events, V.I.P. cards, flashing paparazzi lights and… Crown Heights? On Friday, February 4, more than 300 teenagers from across the country will gather at the annual National CTeen Shabbaton, where they will enjoy a glamorous V.I.P. weekend complete with a celebrity appearance and a black-tie NYC river cruise.

A letter from Rabbi Amram Klein of Ungvar revealed a troubling behind the scenes look at the ‘installation ceremony’ of Rabbi Yosef Braun last week. The letter was addressed to Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba, who boycotted the event, apologizing to him for his attendance at the ceremony, saying he was duped into it.

Jewish Kids Radio the New Motzai Shabbos Sensation!

After partnering up with the Jewish Kids Radio, CrownHeights.info rekindled the excitement for what was once a Motzai Shabbos sensation. Jewish children from around the world eager with anticipation for the weekend show, which features exciting kosher entertainment and chances to win amazing prizes!

Thousands of kids tuned in over the past three weeks, and the one complaint we have had to contend with was that the show isn’t long enough! So in response, this week’s show will be one whole hour!

The Rebbe says:

Our Sages comment on a verse in this week’s Torah portion which reads, “And Yisro (Jethro) said, “Blessed is Hashem (G-d) Who rescued you (the Jewish people)”, and say, “It is a blemish in Moshe Rabbeinu (Moses our teacher) and the Jewish people who did not say, ‘Blessed’, until Yisro came and said, ‘Blessed’”.

However we must understand what this means because, as we read in last week’s Torah portion, Moshe Rabbeinu and the Jewish people did indeed thank Hashem when they sang to Him as they were walking through the Yam Suf (the sea of reeds)! Why do our Sages say that “it is a blemish in Moshe Rabbeinu and the Jewish people”?
