Tzeirei Shluchim Wraps up Powerful Yud Shevat Campaign

With the return of its raffle winners, student shluchim, and yeshiva mashpia from Beis Chayeinu, Yeshivat Tzeirei Shluchim’s dynamic Yud Shevat programs drew to a close this week.

The trip to the Rebbe by Rabbi Menachem Zilberstrom, students Shmuel Shealy and Menachem Amslem, and shluchim Shaul Greenfeld, Menachem Motel, Daniel Yovinger, capped off weeks of learning, preparation, avodah, and farbrengens in honor of Yud Shevat.

Yeshivas Tzeirei Shluchim’s talented group of shluchim guided the students by producing three learning packets loaded with maamarim, sichos, and igros describing a tomim’s hiskashrus to the Rebbe. The entire student body studied and mastered the material, successfully passing tests on their knowledge baal peh.

Besides learning, Rabbi Berel Lazar, Russia’s Chief Rabbi and Head Shliach, was the first of several guests who farbrang with the bochurim, and shared the energy and passion of shlichus. His visit was followed up by Texas Shliach Rabbi Moshe Traxler, and former Oregan Shliach, now Tsfat Shliach, Rabbi Asi Shpiegel.

The yeshiva’s Yud Shevat celebrations were momentous and meaningful. Rabbi Yisrael Kalmanson arrived Thursday night before Yud Shevat to farbreng about the way a tomim needs to prepare himself. Liverpool, England Shliach Rabbi Avraham Kievman was on hand for Shabbos, while a group of students farbrang with one of Yeshiva Ohelei Torah’s Roshei Yeshiva, Rabbi Efraim Piekarski.

Events continued motzei Shabbos with a yeshiva-wide gala farbrengen led by Tzeirei HaShulchim’s hanhala: Director and Tsfat Head Shaliach Rabbi Chaim Kaplan; Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Sholom Ber Hertzl; and Menahel Ruchni Rabbi Sholmo Aseraf.

Rabbis Kievman and Kalmenson joined in and helped the yeshiva tap into the special energy of Yud Shevat at a farbrengen that went deep into the night.

While the campaign has been completed, the energy, hiskashus, and power of Yud Shevat have the entire yeshiva inspired to continue their studies, growth and avodah.
