Rabbi Menachem Mendel Stern joined in officiating the lighting of the US Army’s Menorah at the Fort Hamilton army base in Bay Ridge. The menorah which is made out of a tanks shell casings – a special story on its own – was lit by a group of Rabbis and Chaplains.

Major Menorah Lighting at Minor League Game

SYRACUSE, NY — A minor league hockey game got a whole lot brighter when eight candles of a Menorah were lit on the ice during a Syracuse Crunch hockey game this past Motzoai Shabbos. Rabbi Yaakov Rapoport along with Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Itzinger lit the menorah with the teams general manager Vance Lederman.
