NIZHNY NOVGOROD, Russia -– While the reconstruction of the Synagogue in the Central Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod continues, it is already hosting communal celebrations and events. The latest of these gatherings was organized especially for children in order to create a festive atmosphere for them during their winter break.

On this fun-filled day, the building was turned into a virtual ‘fortress’, with the youngsters challenged with different ‘assignments’. With guidance from their knowledgeable counselors, these enthusiasts had a different task to fulfill at each ‘stage’ of this intriguing role-playing game before they could enter the next room of the ‘fort’.
