HALLANDALE, FL — Two teenagers struck by an SUV in the 1200 block of East Hallandale Boulevard on Dec. 23 remained in critical condition in the hospital Friday while friends and local leaders continued to pray for their recovery.

The latest of these gatherings was organized especially for children in order to create a festive atmosphere for them during their winter break.

On this fun-filled day, the building was turned into a virtual 'fortress', with the youngsters challenged with different 'assignments'. With guidance from their knowledgeable counselors, these enthusiasts had a different task to fulfill at each 'stage' of this intriguing role-playing game before they could enter the next room of the 'fort'.

Shomrim Members were Gang Assaulted while Settling a Dispute

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A number of Shomrim members responding to a call were ambushed and gang assaulted. The incident took place earlier tonight, Motzoai Shabbos, when Shomrim got the call about a dispute inside 749 Eastern Parkway, members arrived on scene and began sorting out the incident when a large gang converged on the room and trapped the members inside.

As the situation began getting out of hand Shomrim members called for backup and for police assistance. The crowd then started throwing punches and assaulting the members.
