CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — This past Thursday night, the monthly Precinct Council Meeting took place with just a handful of Jewish residents in attendance, along with typical turnout at these meetings.

TZFAT, Israel [CHI] — The Kinus Talmidim Hashluchim which took place this past Shabbos in Tzfas turned out to be a great success!
Lerech 45 Bochurim took part in the Kinus (from Maya’anot-Yerushalayim, Arad / Rostov, Migdal Aimek, Kiryat Gat, Kfar Chabad, Tzfas and Tel Aviv) which they Farbrenged together till the wee hours of the morning strengthening each other on there Hiskashrus to the Rebbe and continuing their Shlichus.

With sadness we inform you of the untimely passing of Mrs. Annette Kalman OBM, of Queens, NY, mother of Shulamis Lokeinsky of Crown Heights. She was Niftar Shabbos morning and her Levaya was Monday afternoon.
Mrs. Shulamis Lokeinsky will be arriving back in NY to sit Shiva today, Tuesday morning at 464 Malbone St. #2 untill Sunday.

Ex-cop Edward Polstein has surrendered to the city’s demand that he drop “NYPD” from the title, but he’s already planning a new site where disgruntled cops – hiding in anonymity – can spew racist rants and hate-filled attacks on the public, their superiors and other targets.
The settlement would mark the end of Polstein’s bitter federal lawsuit charging that he was fired in retaliation for criticizing Mayor Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly on the Web site.
