Many Accidents across Brooklyn, One Fatal

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — As snow began falling Tuesday afternoon the accident reports came flooding in, the first in Crown Heights was involving a police car from the 73rd Precinct on Eastern Parkway and another vehicle which collided head on. The reports then came in from across the neighborhood causing treacherous traffic conditions in addition to the treacherous driving conditions.

Nightlife: A Cult?

Could the buzzed-about cutting edge program for single girls in Crown Heights be a cult? I mean, its center is an enormous underground room laden with candles. It has hundreds of fans who constantly spread the word and bring more followers. Many girls come religiously and won’t miss a night. One girl even begs to help clean up.

But, according to guest lecturer Yossi Jacobson, it just can’t be.

Yup, that’s right. In his words, “The food at Nightlife is too good and the couches too comfortable.”

Conference Concludes in Brazil With Pledge to Expand Youth Outreach

Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries in Brazil announced last week that they were strengthening their focus on a crucial aspect of their outreach: Getting adolescents and young adults aged 10 to 25 more involved in Jewish life.

They made the resolution at the conclusion of the country’s second-ever Conference of Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbis, held at the Grand Hyatt hotel in S. Paulo. The last such gathering occurred 20 years ago.

Snow combined with freezing temperatures are causing very hazardous driving conditions, with snow freezing and turning into sheets of ice.

There were well over 20 reported accidents in Crown Heights and the vicinity alone. Motorists take care and caution while driving tonight.
