Torah in Memory of Chana (Raskin) Wolwosky

For nearly a year the Lubavitch community has been mourning the tragic loss of Chana (Raskin) Wolwosky OBM. As her first Yartzeit approaches, a community in California will be honoring her legacy.

This coming sunday, the Chabad Jewish center of Rancho Santa Fe will be concluding the community’s first Sefer Torah, dedicated in loving memory of Chana. How appropriate an honor for a young lady who spent the last years of her short life teaching Torah to children.

The meeting takes place at 7:30pm in the auditorium of the Public School at 400 Empire Boulevard across from the Precinct on the corner of New York Avenue.

The AFP news agency has published a Television show, “Moscow’s Mobile Synagogue.” The Mitzvah Tank was launched in 2007.

There’s no truck like it in Moscow. The “mitzvah-tank” cruises through the Russian capital, driven by two Orthodox rabbis and outfitted with Hebrew inscriptions and even its own menorahs. It’s a synagogue on wheels, with a mission to bring Russia’s secular Jews back to their roots — or, rather, to bring their roots to them.
