ISRAEL — Thousands of children from Chabad schools throughout Israel gathered for the annual Yud Shevat children’s rally at the Yad Eliyahu (Nokia Hall) stadium in Tel Aviv.

The Chief Rabbi also visited the new Mei Menachem- Mikvah Israel, and slowly toured the Elana Leah Womens’ Mikvah, the Yoseph Mordechai Mens’ Mikvah, and the Kelim Mikvah, which all were built to be accessible to the physically challenged community. After the tours of the Mikvaos, the Chief Rabbi visited the Chai Tots Preschool, and blessed the seventy children and fifteen teachers of the school.

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — One of the gun-toting thugs who has been terrorizing Jewish Crown Heights residents was arrested last Wednesday. After a victim was able to positively ID the suspect in a police photo array, he was charged with robbery.
BALTIMORE — Mayor Sheila Dixon of Baltimore presented local Chabad representatives with a key to the city last Monday.
The key was presented belatedly—in fact 80 years late—but it was received happily at a well attended ceremony at the Baltimore City Hall. Initially intended to be presented by Mayor William Frederick Broening to the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, the key had been misplaced by the Mayor shortly before meeting the Rebbe on Jan. 16, 1930, and was missing since then.
