A Day of Chinuch in Los Angeles
On Monday, Feb. 1, the Menachem Education Foundation sponsored a day of Chinuch in the Los Angeles educational community in conjunction with Cheder Menachem of L.A., Beis Chaya Mushka of L.A. and the B.J.E. of L.A.
Mr. Shimon Waronker was brought in to address three separate audiences and venues on the importance of strong educational leadership. Shimon is currently learning from Chancellor Joel Klein to lead the largest public school system in the nation.

This past Motzaei Shabbos, Keren Simchas Chasson V’kallah held a Melave Malka and Chinese auction. Oholei Torah chose to ban the event for students of the Zal at threat of expulsion. Certainly, no student should ever disregard the orders of the Hanholo, with or without threats of expulsion. Further, when the Hanholo permits a Bochur to attend, it is self understood that he can only attend after Seder HaYeshivah. I am quite surprised at the Hanholo’s decision however, because the evening had a lot to offer.

The Roetter and Azoulay families invite all women and girls to come together for an evening of inspiration and a Siyum Mishnayos marking the shloshim of Mrs. Pesha Leah (nee Roetter) Azoulay OBM. A resident of Crown Heights, Pesha was tragically taken from us in a car accident, together with Avrohom Dovid Liberow OBM.
