The Friendship Circle of Crown Heights celebrated a themed Shushan Purim yesterday in the Jewish Childrens Museum. Volunteers and children enjoyed the Purim in China carnival with activities and games, all topped off with an amazing show by Yang Xiao Di, an amazing acrobat from the Shanghai circus.

Accident Injures Chabad Girls and Shomrim Volunteer
QUEENS, NY [CHI] — A group of girls traveling home in a ‘Chabad Car’ lost one of their wheels as they pulled off the Belt Parkway stranding them for nearly two hours on the side of the busy roadway. One girl called Shomrim who responded with one volunteer, only making matter worse when his car was struck by a passing car.

“We’re celebrating the victory of the Jews over the Persians,” explained Malka Seewald, wife of Rabbi Mendy Seewald, who helped coordinate the event and who noted the victory occurred nearly 2,400 years ago.
