In honor of the 8th Yohrtziet of Harav Hatomim Dovid Bryn z"l, Shliach of the Rebbe in North Dade, FL; phase I of a documentary about his life was released. Yohrtzeit Services will take place Tuesday, April 20th, 7:30am & 7:00pm at the Dovid Bryn Library followed by a Farbrengen and a full spread.

Rabbi Moshe Eliyahu Gerlitzky, who fled Nazi occupied Poland and continued to help found and run the first Chabad yeshivah in Montreal, Canada, passed away on April 4. He was 94.

Born in 1915 in the Polish industrial city of Lodz, Moshe Eliyahu was raised by his parents Avraham Yitzchok and Leah Gerlitzky in a home imbued with Chasidic warmth and a spirit of loving kindness towards others.

But the Mehadrin Kosher Poultry Plant must apply for an industrial waste permit, install testing equipment, and pay about $95,000 in back sewer bills by tomorrow.

It is customary not to make the Bracha of Shehechiyanu during the period of the counting of the Omer. However, a major monumental event has taken place this week.

I thank Hashem for his kindness that he has bestowed upon our community that has enabled us and has given us a chance to rid ourselves from all unwanted and unnecessary behavior associated with strife and lack of Ahavas Yisroel.

On Friday, April 9th, the government issued a sentencing memorandum urging the court to impose a life sentence on Sholom Rubashkin, facing his conviction on bank fraud charges.

This recommendation comes despite the fact that Mr. Rubashkin is a non-violent first time offender, who made timely interest payments to the lender bank until his plant was raided. He never intended to cause loss to the bank. Despite massive pre-trial publicity, all immigration charges were dropped. The life-sentence recommendation entirely disregards Mr. Rubashkin's exceptional record of charity and good deeds and that he is the father of ten children, including a severely autistic 16-year-old son, all of whom depend on him greatly.

15 Year Old Fight put to Rest with New Letter

In the storm of emotions following the Rebbes Passing on the 3rd of Tammuz in 5754, a group of over 30 individuals in Crown Heights, took it upon themselves to summons the administration of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch, and Agudas Chasidei Chabad to a Din Torah before the Crown Heights Beis Din, over what they alleged was matters pertaining to a will supposedly left behind by the Rebbe.
