The Traveling Model Matzah Bakery has been visiting Sydney institutions for many years now. Run by Chabad Youth NSW the Youth and Family division of the Yeshiva Centre – Chabad NSW HQ.

Prestigious Archivists Debate Rebbe Footage

The Members of AMIA, the prestigious Association of Moving Image Archivists, have been busily debating a technical video issue on their internal forums and in e-mails to one-another. The subject? A query posted by Dekel Hamatian, who is responsible for restoring the videos of the Rebbe. The subject matter refers to camera flashed in some newly restored videos of the Rebbe’s dollars, and comparisons Hamatian had been making for quality control.

Chabad of Gloucester County has not been spared, and unfortunately, donations to Chabad of Gloucester are down almost 60% compared to when the economy was booming.

Teachers to Receive their own Holiday Stimulus

For the tenth consecutive year Mr. Greens is cutting holiday produce costs for Crown Heights educators.

This coming Friday, a total of eighty-seven Crown Heights families of rebbeim and teachers will collect Pesach orders of fresh fruits and vegetables, meat and wine, at a highly reduced cost. This is made possible by Mr. Greens market and by donations from local benefactors and organizations.

TODAY: Shomrim Distributing Vegetables and Dairy Products

Building on its two year tradition, Shomrim has once again organized a free distribution of essential Pesach foods, from vegetables to fruits, dairy products and many items in between.

Throughout the evening yesterday, Wednesday, hundreds of families benefited, and Shomrim has managed to secure another two truckloads of items today. The distribution will resume today, Thursday, at 6:00pm in the parking lot of Beis Rivkah Lefferts [entrance from East New York and Brooklyn].

There is no need to be on any lists or have any vouchers, everyone is welcome to come and take whatever they feel they need. There is B”H no shortage of all the items.

Wind of Change: Greenfield Wins Big, Hikind Loses Bigger

Call him the Jewish Scott Brown.

David Greenfield swept a special election for the 44th District seat on the New York City Council in a landslide victory Tuesday. He soundly defeated fellow Democrat Joe Lazar, taking the seat by a margin of 58 to 40 percent. Kenneth Rice, a Republican, took just three percent of the vote.
