Kinus Shluchim 5771 Gets Underway
Shluchim from around the world have been coming to Crown Heights since the beginning of the week for the annual Kinus Hashluchim, and last night sign in and registration began.
Thousands of people are expected to attend Chabad of the Valley’s “Chanukah at Universal CityWalk Hollywood” on Wednesday, December 1; from 5-9 pm. Organizers of the event say that it will be the largest Chanukah celebration of its kind in Southern California.

The Bris was celebrated as a Chabad function with many Shluchim and over 200 community members in attendance. Rabbi Naftali Horowitz, The Bostoner Rebbe - a distant relative of Rabbi Mendy Horowitz - were among the distinguished participants.

Singer Benny Friedman is just one of the many artists to volunteer his talents for a new single, entitled Berachamim, being released today. The song, produced and directed by veteran producer Avi Newmark, is being released to benefit Ilan Tocker, a 33 year old father of four and resident of Cedarhurst who suffered a severe brain injury this past summer.
