On Monday, August 9, Brooklyn Borough President Markowitz joined New York City Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Cas Holloway, Lauren Collins, co-founder of the Windsor Terrace Alliance and area residents outside his home to officially commemorate Brooklyn going online for the City’s new wireless water meter program. The installation of an Automated Meter Reading (AMR) unit on BP Markowitz’s home was the 417,000th installed in the City.

Within the cozy yet well-equipped walls of Brooklyn's famous kosher culinary school, The Center for Kosher Culinary Arts (CKCA), a sizzling competition is in the works and may be destined to change culinary history. Similar to Top Chef, chefs from around Brooklyn will be put to the test in search of the next great kosher chef. Perhaps a visionary kosher chef will be born.

Most people agree that there is a major shidduch challenge in Lubavitch, and that unfortunately it's only getting worse. However, although many ideas have been suggested, no tachlis has come out of all this yet.

In this article, I'll try to outline what I believe are the major causes of the shidduch challenge as well as propose some potential solutions. My goal is that something concrete should come out of all our kvetching, as in the end, what we all want is to end this frustrating and sad issue ASAP.

Please feel free to comment and add any solutions you think may be helpful. I believe if we are to fix the issue, all of Lubavitch has to come together to do it, from all the factions, geographical locations, etc. Achdus is the only way! Besuros tovos!
