From sunny Cairns to flood ravaged Toowoomba; from idyllic Coffs Harbour to downtown Geelong the sounds of partying and megillah reading rang out. Chabad of RARA hosted Purim parties in more than half a dozen cities across three states this year with hundreds of Jews in rural and regional areas getting in touch with their religion and heritage.

Chabad of RARA hosted Purim parties in more than half a dozen cities across three states this year with hundreds of Jews in rural and regional areas getting in touch with their religion and heritage.

With Purim fast approaching, the hardworking staff at Chabad of McGill were planning their trademark ‘best in town’ Purim event. Decorations were ordered. Flights for the performer - up and coming Chassidic hip-hop artist, DeScribe - were booked. Menu was drafted. Volunteers were set to go.
