Hours after the students are usually long gone, there are scores of boys covering two floors and three rooms, sawing wood, drilling planks together and painting boards. It’s five short days before Lag Ba’omer and staff and students are hard at work on the Darchai Menachem float.

Today, Yud Gimmel Iyar, marks the yahrzeit of Rabbi Yisroel Aryeh Leib,OBM, the brother of the Rebbe. Rabbi Yisroel Aryeh Leib was born in Nikolaev on the 16th of Sivan, 5669. That same year, the family moved to Yekatrinaslav, as Rabbi Levi Yitzchok took up the position of Rov of the city. He was known as a genius and child prodigy, and was famous for his diligence.

Rabbi Dovid Raskin, an immigrant from the Soviet Union who, as chairman of the Lubavitch Youth Organization, spearheaded many educational campaigns instituted by the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, passed away Tuesday at the age of 84.

Benzocaine, the numbing medication normally used in over-the-counter products like Anbesol and Baby Orajel, has been linked to a rare condition called methemoglobinemia. That’s when the blood does not move oxygen through the body. In the very worst cases it can be deadly.
