Jill Korber walked into a drab police station in Queens in July to report that a passing bicyclist had groped her two days in a row. For the very first time, a car-menorah parade took place in Lakewood, NJ on the last day Chanukah, arranged by Lakewood Shliach Rabbi Yerachmiel Altman, along with Rabbi Moshe Gourarie (Chabad of Toms River) and Rabbi Levi Schapiro (Yeshiva Bais Menachem, Manalapan, NJ).
Rabbis Rodkin and Meyers of the Shaloh House in Boston, along with eight bochrim, ran an array of programs in honor of Chanukah. Door to door mivtzoyim: visiting businesses, nursing homes, and campers from the summer camp, helping them and their families to light menorah.

On the second night of Chanukah, Yeshivah Bais Menachem illuminated downtown Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania with a special public menorah lighting. The public menorah lighting and party were arranged in large part by students and shluchim, building a beautiful new 12 foot menorah, playing music and providing energy for all in attendance.
Eighty-six children in Israel, all of whom have directly experienced the pain of terror, celebrated beautiful Bar and Bat Mitzvahs at the Western Wall during Chanukah. The event was organized by Chabad Terror Victims Project (CTVP). The children and their families came to Jerusalem from all over Israel for this once-in-a-lifetime rite of Jewish passage.
