Eight Bochurim, Eight Nights and a US Senator

US Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) poses for a photo with the young Shluchim.

Rabbis Rodkin and Meyers of the Shaloh House in Boston, along with eight bochrim, ran an array of programs in honor of Chanukah. Door to door mivtzoyim: visiting businesses, nursing homes, and campers from the summer camp, helping them and their families to light menorah.

Hundreds lit menorah, and scores put on teffilin – many for their first time.

This year, for the first time in Boston, there was a menorah parade; four stretched Hummer Limos, filled with over 80 excited children, were followed by about 25 cars with car menorahs on their roofs.

US Senator Scott Brown, along with many dignitaries, came to join the event. Mr. Brown lit the shamash, and was followed by Rabbi Shmuel Posner from Boston Chabad House who lit the eight candles.
