Jerusalem Vaad Tznius Member Heading to Prison

The High Court of Justice on Monday, 24 Cheshvan, rejected an appeal filed on behalf of Shmuel Weissfish, a member of the Geula neighborhood’s Vaad HaTznius. Shmuel was convicted of a number of acts of violence in targeting an area business that he deemed unsuitable. He was sentenced to two years imprisonment, which he will be beginning before Chanukah. In addition, he must reimburse the store’s owner for damage to the tune of 50,000 Shekels ($13,300).

Crown Heights [CHI] — Students arrived at Yeshiva Chovevei Torah this morning to discover to their dismay that sometime last night, several pairs of Tefillin were stolen from a Mesivta classroom on the first floor. The Tefillin were removed from their bags – seemingly so that they should be able to fit into the thief’s pockets. The act may have taken place during a simcha which was going on at the time in the hall downstairs.

Hi, I’m an eleventh grader. Another eleventh grader wrote about how hard it is for girls in Crown Heights and other big Lubavitch schools to swim against the tide. One of the things that actually helps us teenagers create positive peer pressure is Achos Hatmimim (which deserves a whole article onto itself).

But what about the girls who don’t even have that??
