For the First Time: Car Menorah Parade in Lakewood!
For the very first time, a car-menorah parade took place in Lakewood, NJ on the last day Chanukah, arranged by Lakewood Shliach Rabbi Yerachmiel Altman, along with Rabbi Moshe Gourarie (Chabad of Toms River) and Rabbi Levi Schapiro (Yeshiva Bais Menachem, Manalapan, NJ).
Eight Bochurim, Eight Nights and a US Senator

CTeen Clubs Celebrate Chanukah Across the Continent
In Skokie, IL, they sent Chanukah care packages to IDF soldiers; in Sunrise, FL, they skated with NHL’s Florida Panthers; and in Tenafly, NJ, they rode Menorah-topped limousines; they were some of the regional Chanukah celebrations run by the Jewish teen club, CTeen.
Menorah Lights Up Downtown Wilkes-Barre
On the second night of Chanukah, Yeshivah Bais Menachem illuminated downtown Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania with a special public menorah lighting. The public menorah lighting and party were arranged in large part by students and shluchim, building a beautiful new 12 foot menorah, playing music and providing energy for all in attendance.
Bar/Bat Mitzvah at Western Wall for Victims of Terror
Eighty-six children in Israel, all of whom have directly experienced the pain of terror, celebrated beautiful Bar and Bat Mitzvahs at the Western Wall during Chanukah. The event was organized by Chabad Terror Victims Project (CTVP). The children and their families came to Jerusalem from all over Israel for this once-in-a-lifetime rite of Jewish passage.
Car Parade Puts a New Spin on Chanukah
I knew this would be one of my more challenging assignments–writing while driving in Chabad’s Chanukah Car Parade (texting while driving is illegal, but what about writing?). I practically had to memorize those simultaneous euphoric and emotion-filled feelings I felt while joining the 65-car motorcade.

The Victory,The Legal Team,The Testimony – Marking 25 Years
This Shabbos marks 25 years of “Hey Teves,” the victory in which a Brooklyn Federal Judge gave ruling that all books that were taken from the Previous Rebbe’s library Agudas Chassdei Chabad be returned. CrownHeights.info and the Avner Institute would like to present historic moments of this case, including the first, strategic meeting between the Rebbe and his legal team; cross-examination with Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, of blessed memory; and Nobel Prize winner Eli Wiesel’s testimony on behalf of the Rebbe.
