MBD Entertains LA Cheder Menachem Trustees
On Sunday, the 17th of Adar/March 11, 2012, nearly 200 friends and supporters of Cheder Menachem Elementary Boys’ School in Los Angeles gathered at the elegant Neman Hall to celebrate the 10th Annual Trustees Banquet.
Today, 24 Adar, is the Yahrtzeit of Reb Binyomin Levin OBM, who passed away at the early age of 44. A recent discovery on an 8mm film of a recording of a choir in Jaffa, Israel, sheds light on an innovative program initiated by the Rebbe and carried out by Reb Binyomin.

Lubavitch Delegation Pays Condolences to Vizhnitz
A contingent of Lubavitcher Rabbonim paid a shiva call to the family of the Vizhnitzer Rebbe who was nifter last week. Rabbi Yitzchok Yehuda Yaroslavsky, Rabbi Mordechai Shmuel Askenazi, Rabbi Yochanan Gurarie, Rabbi Y. Y. Aharonov, Rabbi Nochum Goldshmid and Rabbi Ariel Lemberg were menachem avel the sons of Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Hager, zt”l. Also present were: the Vizhnitzer’s son-in-law Rabbi Menachem Ernster, the Vizhnitzer Rosh Yeshiva; and Rabbi Aharon Mordechai Rokeach of Belz, a grandson of the Vizhnitzer Rebbe.

A 64-year-old Rabbi from Brooklyn was ordered to begin a maximum sentence of 18 months in prison for his refusal to cooperate with authorities in a way that would jeopardize fellow Jews.
