London Students Celebrate Green Sabbath
This past Friday night, 30 students from London’s Imperial College and other universities’ international study abroad programs celebrated an eco-friendly Sabbath with Chabad-Lubavitch of South Kensington.
New Jersey Welcomes New Shluchim
Rabbi Avrohom and Rivky Bergstein have been appointed to be the Rebbe’s Shluchim to Fair Lawn, New Jersey. The Bergstiens will direct the adult education department at Anshei Lubavitch, which is one of the oldest Lubavitch institutions in the world.

Representatives of real estate, tourism, health care and hi-tech industries participated at the fourth Israeli Expo in Moscow. Professor Velvl Greene: Scientist, Activist and Pioneer
Professor Velvl Green, former chair of epidemiology and public health and professor emeritus at Ben-Gurion University, and director of its Lord Jakobovitz Center for Jewish Medical Ethics, passed away at the age of 83. A pioneer in the field of hygiene and the development of sanitary standards used in hospitals, at the height of his career, he maintained a scientific and religious dialogue with the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory. He became a highly regarded lecturer on Torah and its compatibility with science, and also contributed to NASA’s search for extraterrestrial life.

Student Fashion Show Celebrates Jewish Femininity
Ever ready to showcase student talent and emphasize Jewish ideas, the Chabad House for Students of the Arts created ‘Inner Expressions,’ a unique student fashion show, to inspire students and the greater Jewish community of Philadelphia about the essence of Jewish femininity. The women-only event took place on Thursday evening, November 17 in the Gershman Y’s Levitt Auditorium, in Center City Philadelphia.

500 Supporters Celebrate with Chabad of Alaska
The Eighth Annual Auction of Chabad in Alaska has attracted again more than 500 business leaders and government officials thanks to the hard work of the friends of Chabad in Alaska, Gala Co-Chairs, Liz Ashlock and Shani Green. The “Event of the Year” in Alaska took place at the Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage and raised funds in support of the Esformes Campus in Alaska, which includes Chabad House, Synagogue, School, and Jewish Museum, led by the Shluchim Rabbi Yosef and Esty Greenberg.
